North Korea Successfully Tests Missile That Could Hit Alaska

North Korea declared on Tuesday that it had successfully test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time, drawing rebuke from the U.S. and other major powers, and prompting China to lead efforts to defuse the escalation in the Korean peninsula.

Military experts speculated that the ballistic missile had the capability to hit Alaska. It fell in the Sea of Japan.

U.S. President Donald J. Trump said on Twitter that it was ”hard to believe South Korea and Japan will put up with this much longer”, urging once again China to ”put a heavy move on North Korea and end this nonsense once and for all.”

President also slammed North Korean leader Kim Jong Un for the missile fire. “North Korea has just launched another missile. Does this guy have anything better to do with his life?,” Mr. Trump tweeted hours after the launch.
