Economist based in Mauritius. She had conducted policy work for the EBRD, World Bank, IMF, Council of Europe Development Bank, UNDP, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, AfDB, European Commission, and UN ESCWA. Her work has covered Eastern Europe, Asia, and Africa. She received her PhD from Princeton University in 2011, and her undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College in the US. Has published widely on gender economics, labor, social and economic development, entrepreneurship, political economy, economic history, comparative politics and democratization, and the politics and economics of development and transition.
