Freelancers
The Globe Post is looking for freelance reporters in Europe, Middle East, post-Soviet countries, and East Asia to be part of its expanding news team. Job duties include writing feature stories on a specific area or topic.
With a mission to train the next generation of journalists, we are particularly looking for budding journalists who are at the beginning of their careers. If you like to dig, shed a light on a particular issue and learn a valuable experience at reporting and fieldwork, this is for you.
Reporters can both develop their own story ideas or work on an assignment basis. They should have a keen eye for detail, and good knowledge of the area/country they’re located. Freelancers will work with experienced editors in North America and Europe.
Reporters usually don’t have to work under tight deadlines, but they should be able to write quickly about hot topics that are top on the news. Good writing and research skills are necessary.
The Globe Post is open to cover any newsworthy subject, but we will give preference to stories about civil liberties, media freedom, political rights, humanitarian crisis and minorities at risk.
