City Can’t Find Car After Sinkhole Swallows Parked Vehicle In Russia

A sinkhole in a Russian city of Ufa completely swallowed a parked car and city officials cannot find it.

The car, Lada, was initially partially eaten by the sinkhole, but then completely disappeared when municipal workers started to pump out the water. Workers continued to pump out the water until the morning, but surprisingly they couldn’t find the car.

Officials believe that the car traveled through underground due to a water stream, breaking some of the pipes. Another explanation is that the mud absorbed the car. The sinkhole is 20 feet deep.

City officials promised the owner to buy a new car. No one was injured during the incident.
